Life in the court of King Henry VIII is a complex game. When fifteen-year-old Catherine Howard catches the king?s eye, she quickly transforms from pawn to queen. But even luxury beyond imagination loses its luster as young Catherine finds her life?and her heart?threatened by the needs of an aging king and a family hungry for power. Will their agendas deliver Catherine to the same fate as her infamous cousin, Anne Boleyn?sacrificed at the altar of family ambition? Engaging historical fiction with a throbbing YA heartbeat, this thrilling novel will draw readers into the intrigues and dangers of the Tudor court. When I first saw this book I loved the cover. I thought "Man,this should be good!". It was not. This book will crush your soul and stomp on your heart.... Catherine Howard is a 15 year old girl that is being used as a tool to get to the throne. Catherine is a very strongwilled, kind and brave. She did things I would never be able to do. I hate the fact that her family used her. No,actually it makes me mad because this actually happened back then. She has to lie just to stay alive. In all honesty I would say lying is a bad trait, but in her case I find it perfectly fine. Whether she lies or not her life is in danger. The poor girl can't get pregnant on top of it so that just adds more to the growing list of things against her in the eyes of her enemies. This is all I am going to say about this book because I literally cried like a little baby at the end and I want to start crying just thinking about it. I highly suggest reading at your own risk. It took me like 4 days to read this because it was so sad. I rate this book...

This book is about Clary (Clarissa) Fray a 15 year old girl living in New York CIty. She and her best friend Simon Lewis go to a club called Pandemonium. Clary witnesses a group of tatted up teen "murder" a young boy. Clary freaks and realizes that nobody else can see them but her. As she is dealing with this someone kidnaps her mother and only the people that can help are the people only she can see. This story is a amazing story. I love the characters and I will probably always will. I first read The Infernal Devices by C.C. and thought they were amazing. I didn't think this one would be as good considering it was a "sequel series",but I was wrong. They are both about Shadowhunters, fighting dark evilness and love, but other than that they are nothing a like. I would say I have a favorite character, but that is like asking what my favorite sweet is. Impossible. Ok, let's take a moment and talk about Shadowhunters. The Shadowhunters are a race of people that are half-human half-angel.These awesome half-mundies are trained to fight and kill demons. Yes, I did say demons. Don't run yet!! They are more like scary monsters not crawling out of Hades kind of demons. Shadowhunters are a race of people covered in runes which make them look like they are covered in tattoos. Sorry, I got a little excited. Clary Fray is strongwilled, brave, sarcastic, and awesome. Through out the book Clary's goal was to rescue her mother. She isn't doing it alone though. She has Simon, Jace Wayland, Isabelle Lightwood, Alec Lightwood, and even Magnus Bane to help her. As she gets closer to Jace she starts falling for him. Jace Wayland is a brave, arrogant, smart, and proctective. Jace has been training and fighting demons over a third of his life.... I make myself laugh. He meets Clary and learns that she is a Shadowhunter. He soon falls for Clary. He may act arrogant and act like a jerk, but he will do anything for anyone he cares about even if he says otherwise. Simon Lewis has been Clary's friend since they were really young. He loves Clary and has loved her forever. Sadly he is in the friend zone. Ok, back to business. As he meets Jace and his friends he notices Isabelle and develops a crush. At the end of this book there is a huge twist that makes you question the whole book. I am giving this book a rating of... 5 out of 5 stars 4 out of 5 kisses for Romance 4.5 out of 5 steles for Violence I recommend this book for ages 14 and up Check out this book here ->_ Emma You really thought I would tell you? Seriously? I am not a spoilers kind of person! I would rather you suffer and wait till the end to figure it out!
I am reviewing The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This story starts out with Katniss Everdeen a 17 year old girl who lives in a dystopian society. Once a year they have a "game" called The Hunger Games. They do this a reminder of the bad times. Sweetie, this post may contain spoilers. My friend River/ Melody Pond here is going to help me warn you of potential spoilers. When I first heard about this book about 2 years ago I didn't know if I would like, but I don't like it... I love it. I have read it about 4 times and I'm a self proclaimed "expert". The characters are amazing in my opinion. Even David Tennant agrees.... Katniss is strong, brave, and has a strong family value. I would say Katniss is a great flawless character, but she isn't. Just like any person she has her flaws. I believe she is one of the strongest character I have ever read about. With everything that has happened to her she is still strong. Peeta Mellark... Ah Peeta. He is one of the first male characters I ever fell in love with so he will always have a place in my little fangirl heart. Peeta is amazing. Like Katniss I think Peeta is strong. He is (loveable in my opinion) and sweet. The bread scene is when I really fell in love with him. Gale Hawthorne..... Yeah..... I don't like him. NEXT! OK so I guess I better put something about him. Uh. I guess he is.. uh... hm. I don't know. He takes care of Prim. So caring? I don't know. That is all I got. I believe this book is well constructed and has realistic characters. I give this book 5 out 5 Stars 3 out 5 kisses for Romance 5 out of 5 knives for Violence Ages 12 and up Well, I guess that is it for this review. Overall I love this book and suggest reading it. Check out Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and the rest of the gang here... _ Emma "Someone or something is coming into Marcus' valley. Marcus tracks them and makes a decision that will alter his life forever. Refusing to stand silently by and do nothing, Marcus decides to act and attempts a rescue of the captives. Dodging dinosaurs and cutthroats can make for a tricky situation. Things don't go as planned and Marcus' survival could be in question. Will he make it back to his protected haven?" This is the second book in the Tomorrow's Past series. I for one couldn't wait for this book to release because I know how hard the author works on his books and I knew it was going to be great. Warning this review might contain some spoilers so don't read this if you haven't read the book. In this sequel, The book starts right where it left off, which for me that is a good thing because a lot of sequels don't. There are either months of time between them and the author has to backtrack and cover what happened during the missing time. Marcus is investigating what is heading through his valley and comes across a group of slavers called the Jackals. He sees that they have two captives and is determined to rescue them (thus the name the rescue :))He discovers that there is more than two captives there are in fact three. He rescues them all and is injured severely in the fight and it is up to Wynd (the oldest girl that he rescued) and Jocelyn (the computer program) to nurse him back to health. On the last page Marcus sees a familiar face... I for one love Marcus, he is exactly what the hero/main character should be. He is strong, smart, brave, and willing to fight to save others. Wynd is also a great character because she shows a gentle side to these books in a post apocalyptic world. She loves and cares for Twig and Rom and watches over them. I hope you all enjoy this book (I certainly did) and continue reading this series in Tomorrow's Past: The Reunion.
I give it 5 out of 5 stars 3 out of 5 kisses for Romance 5 out of 5 guns for Violence 4 out of 5 knives for Adventure This is the first book of the series called Tomorrow's Past by Everette Morgan. The books are short because later on as he adds the mini books he will eventually put them all together to publish one whole book since he is an indie author and he is publishing this through Amazon.com. "Marcus Rainwater was barely 13 when the N47Q virus struck. Everyone he knew or loved died within a two week span. He’s lived on his own and survived for the past five years. With the training he was taught by his parents, he has set up a small protected compound in the southern region of the Appalachian Mountains where he lives alone. For a person living alone, danger can come from anywhere and sharing his little slice of Appalachia with resurrected prehistoric creatures isn’t going to make it any easier." I highly recommend this book! It has plenty of action and detail into Marcus'sworld. The author keeps you wanting more and waiting for what's going to happen. I can't wait until the 2nd book is released and know the author personally and know that it is in the process. This book is post-apocalyptic, which has been my favorite type of book lately. One thing about this book is that the N47Q virus feels like it's something that could really happen. I know I am not giving a huge amount of detail but I want everyone to try it and see for themselves! :) I give it 5 out of 5 stars
0 out of 5 kisses for Romance 3 out of 5 guns for Violence 5 out of 5 knives for Adventure and an age rating of 12 and up Today I just finished City of Glass by Cassandra Clare! So far of the Mortal Instruments series this is my favorite. It was action packed, full of feels, and still managed to shock me. This review will contain spoilers. "To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost? Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments." First off I want to say I SHIP CLARY AND JACE!!! Here's River Song to help you out with spoilers. Below her there is a spoiler. This book went from one bad thing to another, but with Clare's books she makes you love the pain you have from reading her books and like it. Throughout the entire book I didn't care that Jace and Clary were supposed to be brother and sister (but I already knew they weren't) so that's probably why it didn't bother me. Another part of this book was spoiled for me because a friend on goodreads didn't use spoilers on her comment. I found out just a little while after Sebastian was introduced to Clary that it was her brother and I was like this.... And then I was like this.... As with all Clare's books this book was action packed, filled with a lot of forbidden love that you were yelling at them to be together, and so many things that were happening that were bad that you just hoped that your characters would make it to the end. I think that Jace and Clary really know they aren't brother and sister really, because through it all they never felt like it. Clary immediately knew something was wrong when Sebastian kissed her. I don't think it was the fact that he was just well...pure evil but the fact it felt wrong. That is just my opinion. This book causes a lot of feelings especially when Valentine stabbed Jace through the heart with the Mortal Sword. I literally yelled at work on my lunch break. Luckily for me no one was around when I did. This was probably me.... I loved this book....through all the feels....
I give it 5 out of 5 stars 4 out of 5 kisses for Romance 5 out of 5 seraph blades for Violence and an age rating of 15 and up This story starts out with Maggie Masters at her high school graduation. She is talking to her friend Kyle Jacobson and he asks her to hang out with him later. She agrees. As she is waiting on him she gets into a fight with her distant, depressed father and decided to go for a walk. As she is walking she stops at a stop walk and saves a boy from being hit by a truck. It turns out almost pancake boy is related to Kyle so they meet up and bam….they fall in love. Ok, this story is a little fast pace for me. It all happens in a span of like 12 days....not even 2 weeks. Maggie Masters is a 17 year old newly high school graduate. She is really smart for her and skipped a grade. Maggie is smart, kind, brave and sweet. I have conflicting thoughts about her. She can be a little whiny, but she has been through a lot. I guess I would be whiny too. Caleb Jacobson is 19 year old college student. He is brave, hot, smart, kind, caring, protective and did I mention hot? Anyways, Caleb is imprinted to Maggie. He is very protective due to the imprinting and he can sense her distress. He loves her and will do anything to protect her. Their relationship is very complicated and it moves super fast. Kyle Jacobson is one of Maggie’s few friends. It is obvious from the beginning that he likes her and you are like.. Towards the end of the book, you slowly start disliking him. He tries to make Maggie and Caleb's lives worse than they already are. At the end of the book you want to do this...
