Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...
It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.
But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price...

Ello out there Sweeties! There may be some spoilers on this here blog but if you know us at all you know this by now.
And I'm back from Narnia. Aslan says hello. I have to say this is one of my favs because my favorite character gets introduced.
ADRIAN! HE'S AMAZING AND MISUNDERSTOOD AND HE'S MINE! I HAVE DIBS! NO TOUCHY MY ADRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE SO MEAN TO HIM. I DON'T LIKE THEM. DON'T BECOME ONE OF THEM!
I am sorry I exploded with fangirling feels. I am okay now....I think.....where was I even going with this?
I will try to contain myself. Anyway this is the second book in the Vampire Academy series. Really the main focus of this story is still that people are out to get Lissa. So Rose has to be all super guardian with Dimitri and junk. And wonderful Adrian gets overlooked. I'm rambling but this book ends with a lot of feels. So the main focus of this book is.......
They go on a ski trip at a resort that is supposed to be super protected. So we have some brief smolders from Rose and Dimtri to each other and some Christian and Lissa romance but nothing else much happens besides Rose meeting Adrian.
Really the true action comes into play when Mason (guy that has a crush on Rose), Eddie, Rose and Mia get kidnapped by humans hired by the Strogoi. This is where the feels are gonna come in. The Evil Guy (forgot his name sorry) keeps drinking from Eddie. Finally Rose gets a message to Christian to use his fire magic to melt their plastic cuffs so she can take down some guards. She's bad donkey (don't ask it's an inside joke)
Anyway.....here come the feels. The first time I read this book I was absolutely shocked. Rose had took down enough guards and was distracting the Big Baddie enough for them to get away. Rose was very close to dying when Mason came back.....Without even thinking twice Big Baddie snapped Mason's neck leaving me in shock.
I was so upset. Mason was sweet and caring, it was so horrible when he died. Mia also came back and helped distract Big Baddie with her water magic allowing Rose to stake her second Strogoi. She sits there and holds Mason's body protecting him until the Guardians come and take her and Mason away. It was awful.
The last few pages are Dimitri and Rose romatic moments telling each other, they can never be together but they will never love anyone else.
And with those feels I part with you all....til another review! I hope you enjoyed!
