I’ve battled the Reapers of Chaos before–and survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine.
Yeah, I’ve got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about.
Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review, thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books. It will also be mostly spoiler free. When I requested this book, I did not realize that it was the final book in the Mythos Academy series. So in order to do the review and so I wasn't totally lost, I ordered the first 5 on Amazon Kindle.
Yeah as Emma calls it I've been on a Mythos Academy binge, as you can clearly tell since I've reviewed all of the books. yes I'm fine.
Anywayyyyyyyyyy..... First of all I want to say that I can really tell how Estep has changed in the writing of her books being as I have read all of them very recently. Yes I promise I'm fine. Watch out for that Reaper!!!!!!!! I uh....I'm good.
She starts with the first three books being very repetitive but with the fourth book I could see a change. With the fifth book, There was no repetitiveness at all. Killer Frost is my favorite out of all of the Mythos Academy Series. Midnight Frost is my second favorite.
With this book you see how strong Gwen has become and how willing she is to do anything to save her family and friends. Throughout this book Estep makes you feel how in anguish Gwen is over things that happen (I won't go into detail, Spoilers dearie) and how important she is to save them all from Loki.
She developed all the characters so well and that she made you want to believe in Spartans, Gypsies, Vikings, and Celts, Yes I know they are real but you want Estep's Mythos world to be real.
I am so sad that this series is over.
I will miss them because when you get pulled into a story you get attached to the characters and when you finish a series you suffer from a book hangover.
I applaud Estep for finishing a series well unlike a lot of series I have read recently. She didn't leave everyone alive, but you were accepting of those who fought and died bravely.
And with that I finish this review. Again I thank Kensington Books and Netgalley for the chance to review this book.
I give Killer Frost
5 out of 5 stars
4 out of 5 snowflakes for Romance
4 out of 5 Vics for Violence
