After being dragged to the 2005 movie Pride and Prejudice by her mother, sixteen-year-old Elizabeth’s life changes when Matthew Macfadyen’s Mr. Darcy appears on the screen. Lizzie falls hard and makes a promise to herself that she will settle for nothing less than her own Mr. Darcy. This ill-advised pledge threatens to ruin any chance of finding true love. During the six intervening years, she has refused to give any interested suitors a chance. They weren’t Mr. Darcy enough. Coerced by her roommate, Elizabeth agrees to give the next interested guy ten dates before she dumps him. That guy is Chad, a kind and thoughtful science teacher and swim coach. While she’s dating Chad, her dream comes true in the form of a wealthy bookstore owner named Matt Dawson, who looks and acts like her Mr. Darcy. Of course she has to follow her dream. But as Elizabeth simultaneously dates a regular guy and the dazzling Mr. Dawson, she’s forced to re-evaluate what it was she loved about Mr. Darcy in the first place.
Warning- This is a "Emma book". For those of you that don't know what a "Emma book" is, it is a Romance book. GIrl falls for boy and something tragic happens. (See Fault in Our Stars)

At least I didn't name it My Husband...
Ok, I did. At least I didn't name it Ian Somerhalder or William Herondale.
I got a free sample of this book, So naturally, I got sucked into it and had to buy it. It was $1.99, so it wasn't that bad.
I admit, I love tall, dark and handsome men,but like this girl I needed to be snapped into reality. I mean who doesn't want a tall dark and handsome man to come sweep you off your feet, and ride off on his white horse. Yes, my mind just kind of went to Fabio or some muscled man on one of those Historical Romance covers.

I had to wade through some scary stuff to get that picture. Yes, I do wonder if that is a real book. It probably is.
I personally don't like those covers. I'm more of a Pepe Toth kind of girl.
She was obsessed with this Mr. Darcy. She needed to be snapped into reality. So her friend makes her promise to go out with this guy Chad for ten dates. They go on a couple and BAM! Matt shows up. He is like Mr. Darcy incarnate, or so she thinks.
Personally, I liked Matt in the beginning, but then he went sour. Example,
Elizabeth got sick, and he didn't even go sit with her. He didn't want to get sick because he had a important work thing coming up.
Yes, she is twenty-two years old,but I would want my boyfriend to come sit with me while I was sick, even if it was just sitting on the other side of the couch. By the end of the book, he makes me mad and I wanted to throw heavy objects at him.
Chad is amazing. I will just leave it at that. Totally swoon-worthy.
Elizabeth and Janessa have a close relationship. Janessa is the one that pushes her, and makes her do things that are good for her. Like for her to go on more than just two dates with men.
I loved the ending of this book.
I loved the ending of this book.
I am glad I bought this book. I think every girl should read it at some point. Your Mr. Darcy won't be like Jane Austen's Mr. Darcy.
