At the end of Tomorrow’s Past: The Raid, we were left with a huge cliffhanger. Marcus had gone down in a terrifying helicopter crash on his way back from rescuing his brother while his new friends were watching and listening. Odds are that no one could have survived that crash. In Tomorrow’s Past: Shenandoah, the group in Haven are mourning the loss of Marcus and trying to adjust to life without him. Everyone is trying to adjust except for Wynd who refuses to believe he is dead. Determined and defiant, she sets off to the crash site to find out herself. What will Wynd find there? So at the end of The Raid Marcus went down in the other helicopter on his way back from rescuing his brother from the Jackal compound. From all indications, Marcus crashed and was eaten by a T-Rex......... It's a couple of weeks later where this book picks up. The group in the compound are struggling to adjust to life without Marcus. Wynd on the other hand is convinced he isn't dead. She spends all her time with Jocelyn scouring the area the helo went down with no success. When all hope is lost...that's probably a line from Lord of the Rings. Oh well. Anyway we have some chapters where we follow a guy who has no memory past a week or so ago and we come to realize IT'S MARCUS! OH JOYOUS JUBILATION! Anyway when Kim joins Wynd to look over the area again via Jocelyn, They spot a gaming camera. Jocelyn taps into it and they see the helo crash and Marcus sneaking away while the T-rex slaughters a deer. Wynd is determined to set out right then to go get Marcus. Kim tells her no that the weather is too bad. Is that gonna stop Marcus from getting to her man? Nope. Well she uses a secret code with Jocelyn that she can't reveal to the any of the rest of them that she is having a snow armored vehicle meet her in Chattanooga. She sets off and makes it to the vehicle and is on her way to Shenandoah National Park. Meanwhile Marcus has no idea who he is and he stumbles upon a treehouse equipped with everything he would need to survive the storm. Wynd has to walk the rest of the way to where Marcus is supposed to be located. On her way, she attracts the attention of a tyrannosaur and takes off running. Marcus somehow knows someone is in danger and sees her running from the tyrannosaur. He saves her and takes her to the treehouse. She kisses him and his memories come flooding back. Well Kim and David take off after Wynd when Jocelyn lifts the code of silence. They make it to the treehouse just in time to save Marcus from a saber-tooth tiger. They had put Jocelyn in the operating system of the treehouse to try to discover why part of the park was being cloaked. Jocelyn says you guys might want to see this or something to that extent and then .....THE BOOK ENDS! I was sitting there and I start saying SERIOUSLY??? SERIOUSLY??? outloud because the book was really good. With each book, I see Morgan grow as an author and so far my favorite is this book. Everything flows and it all is really believable. I know that I plan on being first on the list for Book 6.

The Tomorrow's Past Series continues with, "Tomorrow's Past: The Raid". At the end of 'The Reunion', Marcus and Kim found out that their brother was alive and being held at an enemy base. While planning their rescue mission, they also learn that Haven is being threatened by the Jackals. Facing this difficult decision, they proceed on a path that will ultimately change their lives forever. ‘The Raid’ is packed with explosions, raptors, Jackals, and even a little bit of space history. Will Marcus be able to defeat the Jackals and make it to their base to save his brother? Will Marcus and his group ever have peace in their Haven? Find out in ‘Tomorrow's Past: The Raid’ the fourth installment of the continuing series ‘Tomorrow’s Past’. In the Reunion, Marcus found out that his brother was alive but being held prisoner. Kim and Marcus are determined to head out and rescue him. Before they can head that way they have to head back to Haven for supplies. On their way back they stop by the Huntsville Air and Space museum to pick up some needed supplies. While they are there Jocelyn tells them that there are two boys being hunted by raptors. So Marcus being the hero again is determined to rescue them. This time he takes his sniper rifle. yeah buddy. Him and Kim are like this. They rescue the two boys Luke and Conner and are on their way to Haven when Wynd tells them that Jocelyn has picked up sightings of Jackals headed Haven's way. They make a plan to handle the Jackals once and for all. Marcus tricks them and ends up blowing them up with Dragonfire missiles. Yes Marcus likes blowing things up. Before blowing them up Marcus did give them a chance to surrender and hated that he had to end so many lives but it was to save more lives. Finally Marcus and Kim start preparing for their trip to rescue their brother David. They have gotten two helos. Before Marcus leaves he tells Wynd that he loves her and that he is coming back. They take off on their mission to rescue David from the main Jackal base. And this is where my review ends because I am not spoiling the ending for you guys. But this was me. This too. *shakes fist* CURSE YOU MORGAN! One of the reasons I give his books such high stars is because he doesn't repeat every single thought from the previous books. I also find his characters to be really realistic and believable as characters. I again want to rub it in ya'll's faces that I get ARCs of this series. Ha! and technically I'm a beta reader.
I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. A 3 out of 5 kisses for Romance. A 5 out of 5 Raptors for Violence. An age rating of 12 and up. Madison The Tomorrow's Past Series continues with the third installment, “Tomorrow's Past: The Reunion”. At the end of ‘The Rescue’ we were left hanging when we found out that Marcus' sister was in fact, alive. This installment is action packed as he sets off to reunite with his sister and encounters many dangers along the way, including even more dinosaurs and mercenaries. Marcus is determined to rescue his sister and those with her. Will Marcus be reunited with his sister? The Reunion picks up where the The Rescue left off. Marcus finds out that his sister and brother are in fact alive and Marcus sets off to get his sister and her group. He sets out with the MAV and a motorcycle attached to the back in order to get everyone back. He ends up blowing up the Allosaurs that are keeping Kim and her group pinned inside a building. Yep you heard right. Blew them up. Yep Marcus is a take care of business kinda guy. Anyway on their way back home, Jocelyn picks up the sound of a young girl crying out for help. Marcus being the dashing hero that he is sets off on the motorcycle to rescue her. Yes he does a good deal of rescuing. Which is not surprising because this is a post apocalyptic world. He rescues Savvy (the girl crying for help) and finds out she is being chased because she has intel on the Jackals. They are being chased by the Jackals on their way back to the compound. They are later surrounded and Marcus fakes pulling out his gun and proceeds to shoot the leader of the Jackals and is then shot twice. Luckily for us, Marcus was wearing a bulletproof vest. Jocelyn and Kim come in with the MAV and save the day by gunning all the Jackals surrounding Marcus and Savvy. Marcus and Savvy make it back to the compound with a few bumps and bruises but otherwise okay. The book ends with them celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas.....And them finding out where their brother is.... I honestly love all of these books. They might be small but the detail and effort that goes in the making of them makes them more than worth the effort. You can truly see how much the author loves to write. I for one am so glad that I got an ARC of The Raid. Yeah stinks for you guys ha!
I give this book a 5 out of 5 Stars. A 4 out of 5 Allosaurs for violence. A 3 out of 5 kisses for Romance. Madison "Someone or something is coming into Marcus' valley. Marcus tracks them and makes a decision that will alter his life forever. Refusing to stand silently by and do nothing, Marcus decides to act and attempts a rescue of the captives. Dodging dinosaurs and cutthroats can make for a tricky situation. Things don't go as planned and Marcus' survival could be in question. Will he make it back to his protected haven?" This is the second book in the Tomorrow's Past series. I for one couldn't wait for this book to release because I know how hard the author works on his books and I knew it was going to be great. Warning this review might contain some spoilers so don't read this if you haven't read the book. In this sequel, The book starts right where it left off, which for me that is a good thing because a lot of sequels don't. There are either months of time between them and the author has to backtrack and cover what happened during the missing time. Marcus is investigating what is heading through his valley and comes across a group of slavers called the Jackals. He sees that they have two captives and is determined to rescue them (thus the name the rescue :))He discovers that there is more than two captives there are in fact three. He rescues them all and is injured severely in the fight and it is up to Wynd (the oldest girl that he rescued) and Jocelyn (the computer program) to nurse him back to health. On the last page Marcus sees a familiar face... I for one love Marcus, he is exactly what the hero/main character should be. He is strong, smart, brave, and willing to fight to save others. Wynd is also a great character because she shows a gentle side to these books in a post apocalyptic world. She loves and cares for Twig and Rom and watches over them. I hope you all enjoy this book (I certainly did) and continue reading this series in Tomorrow's Past: The Reunion.
I give it 5 out of 5 stars 3 out of 5 kisses for Romance 5 out of 5 guns for Violence 4 out of 5 knives for Adventure This is the first book of the series called Tomorrow's Past by Everette Morgan. The books are short because later on as he adds the mini books he will eventually put them all together to publish one whole book since he is an indie author and he is publishing this through Amazon.com. "Marcus Rainwater was barely 13 when the N47Q virus struck. Everyone he knew or loved died within a two week span. He’s lived on his own and survived for the past five years. With the training he was taught by his parents, he has set up a small protected compound in the southern region of the Appalachian Mountains where he lives alone. For a person living alone, danger can come from anywhere and sharing his little slice of Appalachia with resurrected prehistoric creatures isn’t going to make it any easier." I highly recommend this book! It has plenty of action and detail into Marcus'sworld. The author keeps you wanting more and waiting for what's going to happen. I can't wait until the 2nd book is released and know the author personally and know that it is in the process. This book is post-apocalyptic, which has been my favorite type of book lately. One thing about this book is that the N47Q virus feels like it's something that could really happen. I know I am not giving a huge amount of detail but I want everyone to try it and see for themselves! :) I give it 5 out of 5 stars
