I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart—the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword—with Logan’s help—I just might die by the sword...
Warning this review may contain spoilers and possible ranting.
With each book Estep gets a little less repetitive but I still want to rant about how much there is. But you guys have heard enough about that....I'll be cool. Or at least try.....
Anyway....so Kiss of Frost picks up where Touch of Frost left off give or take a few weeks. Oh and with this series you are gonna find out that if anyone is gonna attack Gwen it's gonna be in the library. I have no idea why but there are so many things that happen in this library. Anyway Gwen is once again being attacked. This time this one wants revenge over the death of Jasmine.
Yes I know shocking because Gwen didn't kill her, Logan did. While she's working at the library someone shoots an arrow at her. Gwen has been working on her fighting skills with Logan, Oliver and Kenzie. Oliver and Kenzie are Logan's friends I can't remember if I mentioned them before.
Anyway throughout this book it is clearly obvious that someone is after Gwen. I mean she nearly gets hit by a car.....shot by an arrow.....killed in an avalanche....eaten by a Fenir wolf....
NOT!!!! I'm so funny, I laugh at myself!
Anyway and then there is Logan....He has a girlfriend.....Yes this is my creepy Doctor Who obsession coming to the light showing you I want this girl gone. It's like that picture they have of that kid freaking out over a spider saying I want him dead, I want his aunts, his uncles, his cousins, etc. etc You get my point.
Even with Logan having a girlfriend you can see that he does care about Gwen a lot. She had turned him down in the first book and he responded with well fine then I'll get a girlfriend and then Gwen is all mopey over him. WELL YOU ARE THE IDIOT WHO TURNED HIM DOWN! GOSH!
Butttttttttttt......we still get some intense Gwen/Logan moments. Gosh I need to make them a ship name. On my mile long list of things I need to do.......anyway....Logan freakin Quinn and those icy blue eyes.
Oh hello my angel of music! (SHHHHHHHHHH!! No one is supposed to know about me calling him that....But Oh well!) Anyway I won't spoil who the person is that is after Gwen so this review will end shortly. I enjoy all of Estep's books and as she gradually realizes we have read the previous books it makes it so much better to read! Until next time my peeps I am headed to sleeptopia because I work third shift! I also reserve the right to add to this review later! if I do I will post above and say updated!
